Organization – The key to a stress-free new year A new year has arrived with new challenges to come. The summary of last year may include this statement: “I am going to get-my-house (and finances) in-order.” Start by creating a file folder for each of the items listed below: - Home (insurance, mortgage papers, deed, property taxes)
- Life Insurance
- Car (insurance, title, tags, registration)
- Personal Records (birth certificate, Social Security Card)
- Health / Medical (insurance, medications, medical records)
- Bills Paid
- Bills to Pay
Also, get to know what your creditors know about you. Order your credit report from the following agencies: Trans Union, Equifax and Experian. Look for your credit rating (number). This number is an assessment (grading) as to your credit worthiness. Also, look for any discrepancy, comment or dispute that you may want to resolve.Have you made those file folders yet? What are you waiting for?! Have a blessed and prosperous new year. Back to the top
